Thank you for your interest in our undergraduate program. Choosing a major and a college are perhaps the two biggest decisions that you will make this year, and the faculty and staff of the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Toledo want you to be sure that you are making the right choice!

In an effort to assist you, feel free to call me at (419) 530-8078 or email me at wiona.porath@utoledo.edu for a personal tour of the Department of Bioengineering or to speak in depth about our program.

For students transferring from another institution, please see Transfer Students for more information, or feel free to contact me and I would be happy to discuss with you what courses will transfer to our program.

High school students applying for admission into the College of Engineering must meet the following requirements:

  1. A cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher
  2. A composite ACT score of 22 or higher, or a SAT composite (verbal reasoning and mathematics) of 1020 or higher
  3. 4 years of high school math that includes trigonometry and/or precalculus
  4. 1 year of high school chemistry (1 year of high school physics is strongly recommended)

If you are ready to apply to UT, U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. can click here to apply online. International students can click here to apply online. If you prefer, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admission at 419.530.5720 or 800.5.TOLEDO x5720 to receive a paper application.

As Academic Program Coordinator, I have the privilege of working with all our students from the time they apply to the department to the day they cross the stage at graduation. I look forward to working with you once you decide that UT’s Bioengineering program is right for you!
