The University of Toledo has an ABET-accredited program in Bioengineering that provides students with a comprehensive foundation in bioengineering fundamentals, and allows for study in specialized areas such as biomechanics, medical instrumentation, nanotechnology, medical imaging, and tissue engineering.

Our program offers a number of advantages, including:

  • A small faculty/student ratio and small class sizes.
  • All Bioengineering courses are taught by faculty members.
  • State-of-the-art courses and laboratories including biological manufacturing, biomedical nanotechnology and medical imaging.
  • A mandatory co-op program that provides on-the-job experience to our students as they complete their undergraduate degree.
  • Various pre-med programs for students interested in pursuing careers in clinical medicine.
  • Low tuition offered by a public university.
  • Excellent department and campus facilities.

Most important, our faculty and staff are dedicated to the success of our students. We encourage you to take a tour of our department and to learn more about our program!
